The performance based on the poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky «I Love» was staged 14 years ago. In 2003, Alexey Kruglov and the «Krugly Band» released an album representing Mayakovsky’s poem, which was introduced into Kruglov’s instrumental music. After some time, Alexey, choosing several major musical themes, made a stage version of the project, focusing on modern rhythms, combining them with the aesthetics of modern jazz. «I Love» is one of the most colorful performances of the «Krugly Band». Mayakovsky’s word is unusually close to improvisational music, and the idea of the project is gaining its relevance at the present time.
