Three years ago, the «Krugly Band» introduced a new project, «Appeal to Citizens», based on the literary materials of the Moscow conceptualist poet, writer, artist, famous performer Dmitry Prigov. «Appeal to Citizens» is the space of composition, free improvisation and text. The literary material interacts with sound space, finding conceptual images and colours in unity with the improvisational genre in the framework of a line of dramaturgy. The music of Alexey Kruglov is also conceptual. Kruglov translated the name of the work and Prigov’s initials into sounds by monogram using the scheme specially invented for this project, in which the first letter of the Russian alphabet «A» corresponds to the note «C» of a small octave.
